Mobile payment

TikWash — pay and start machines from the phone.

TikWash is one mobile payment product for laundromats and car washes. Customers choose, pay and start machines in the app. It runs on its own — wireless with the TBL100 or wired with the TikWash Box — and is integrated as standard into VeMatics stations from the CP200 upward.

01

One product, two sectors

The same TikWash serves laundromats and car washes, each with its own app. It needs no central payment station on site.

  • Laundromats

Customers start washers and dryers from the TikWash Laundry app.

  • Car washes

Customers pay for self-service wash boxes and vacuums from the TikWash Car Wash app.

  • Without a central station

TikWash can be installed on its own, with no payment kiosk on site.

  • Smaller installations

On its own, TikWash also suits smaller private installations, student housing and machine rental.

02

How customers use TikWash

Everything happens in the app: the customer sees the machines, makes a choice, pays and starts.

  • Machines started from the phone

One machine, or several at once.

  • Occupied or free

Where the installation reports it, machines in use are shown and cannot be started.

  • Price per machine

The price of each machine is visible before the customer starts it.

  • Drying time

Customers choose the drying time per dryer, and can start several dryers with different times in one go.

  • Reservations

Customers can reserve a machine in the app.

  • Sign-in with email

Customers create an account and sign in with their email address.

03

Credit and payment

Customers pay from a personal credit balance in the app. There is no cash and no payment terminal at the machine.

  • A personal wallet

Customers top up their credit in the app.

  • Credit across locations

Credit can be used at all of the operator’s locations.

  • Deducted once the machine starts

Credit is deducted only after the start of the machine is confirmed.

04

For the operator

The operator portal brings every TikWash location together, with turnover and transaction history to follow up.

  • All locations in one portal

Every site the operator runs with TikWash, in one place.

  • Turnover and history

Daily and monthly turnover, and the history of every transaction.

  • Machines and prices

Machines, prices and drying times are set up in the portal.

  • Email reports
    Optional

A daily email with turnover, and alarm notifications by email.

05

TikWash in VeMatics stations

TikWash runs on its own, or as part of a VeMatics payment station. Customers use the same app either way.

  • Integrated from the CP200 upward
    Standard

TikWash is part of the CP200, CP460, CP510 and CP600.

  • No fixed integration charge

A transaction fee applies when customers pay with TikWash.

  • Station and app stay in sync

On the CP200, CP460 and CP510, customers can use the station and the app at the same time, and both show the same machine availability.

  • Alongside a CP110

TikWash can be used on a CP110 site, but it is not integrated into the CP110: it is purchased and installed as a separate TikWash deployment.

06

Wireless — the TBL100

In the wireless implementation, a TBL100 Bluetooth module sits at each machine. The customer’s phone carries the connection, so this path needs no permanent internet connection on site.

A TBL100 module held in a hand: a compact light-grey housing with the VeMatics and TikWash label, a wiring legend and its cable.
  • One TBL100 per machine

The module is built into the machine and connected to its start and occupancy contacts.

  • Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy

The app finds the modules nearby and connects to them automatically.

  • The phone carries the connection

The customer’s mobile internet reaches the TikWash servers, so the location needs no internet connection of its own.

  • Start confirmed by the module

The TBL100 confirms that the machine has started before credit is deducted.

  • Where it suits

Smaller locations, sites without internet, and sites where a cable to every machine is not wanted.

  • Managed remotely

The operator sets up the modules and manages them from the TikWash dashboard.

For the customer, the wireless and the wired implementation work the same way.

07

Wired — the TikWash Box

In the wired implementation, the machines are cabled to a TikWash Box on site, which is connected to the internet by cable.

  • One box on site

A closed cabinet mounted on the wall, with the machines connected to it.

  • No fixed machine maximum

There is no fixed public limit on the number of machines connected to a TikWash Box.

  • Wired internet

A wired internet connection is required for stable operation.

  • Self-installation allowed

The operator, or the operator’s own installer, may install the TikWash Box.

  • Door, lighting and alarms
    Depends on installation

The TikWash Box can also control entrance-door hours, lighting and alarms, remotely through a secured interface.

  • Managed in the operator portal

The TikWash Box sites appear in the same TikWash operator portal.

08

The TikWash apps

TikWash has one app per sector — two versions of the same product, for iOS and Android.
