How a VeMatics installation fits together.
Payment, control, machines and software are separate layers. A site uses the ones it needs.
There is no standard VeMatics installation.
A laundromat with a central payment station and a car wash running mobile payment on its own are both complete systems. The architecture is selected per installation, from what the site already has and what it needs to do.
- Not every site has a central payment station.
- Not every site uses mobile payment or cards.
- Not every site has a machine controller in the chain.
- Not every site is connected for remote management.
Five layers
A way to read an installation, not a product range. Most sites use some of these; few use all of them.
- 01
Customer interaction and payment
How someone starts a machine and pays for it. A site can offer one of these or several side by side.
- 02
Payment and control hardware
The VeMatics unit on the site, where there is one. The range runs from a compact cashless system to a station that handles cash, and the choice follows the site rather than the other way round.
- 03
Machine and PLC integration
A payment has to end in a machine that actually starts. That step is an engineering question, and the answer depends on the equipment on the floor.
- 04
Software and connected services
What a customer taps, what an operator manages and what runs inside the terminal come from the same team. How much of this layer a site uses varies.
- 05
Installation, commissioning and support
The system is installed and commissioned on site, not handed over in a box. Afterwards it is supported by the people who built it.
Which layers your site uses is decided with you.
We start from the machines you have and the way your customers pay, not from a model number. What stays the same in every project is who does the work.
